Voices of the Youth
This documentary highlights the importance of community when it comes to raising up a child. It truly takes a village to raise a child and this documentary shows this so powerfully. At each step of a child’s life it’s so important to work together as community from inside the home, to the school system, to the organizations that provide community programming. In the documentary you will see a youth from the community, a teacher, the Executive Director of ICO and an up-and-coming artist who grew up in the Jane and Finch neighbourhood speaking about their community and the importance of partnership.

YOUTH EMPLOYMENT AND DEVELOPMENT HANDBOOK
During the 2021/2022 school year, Inner City Outreach
led a cohort of youth through The Youth Employment and
Development Program (YEDP). The purpose of this mentorship program was to empower youth by providing them with employment experience and counselling, workshops to educate and examine topics on racism, and personal development guidance.
This handbook is the product of this program. It covers:
- Highlight several strengths & successes of the Jane-Finch community
- Provide several local resources & supports
- Provide insight into relevant topics, and more!
